Here’s Emma and Mike’s wedding from Formby Hall Golf Resort & Spa
What a day, what a wedding!
I know, I say this a lot, but never a dull moment. Laughter from start to end.
Formby Hall is a venue I’ve been going to since 2014 and the weddings never disappoint.
Emma Johnston and Mike James Johnston planned the perfect day for a perfect couple. Tears were seen when Emma revealed her dress to her Dad and then her bridesmaids. Tears of the happy variety. The rest of the day was just so much fun.
I asked Emma, how they got engaged…. here’s what she said:
We got engaged on my (Emma’s) birthday in 2020, 30th July, at about 5 past 12 in the morning. We were in the one bed flat we were renting in the city centre at the time. Mike offered me 3 presents and told me to pick one now and the other 2 I could open in the morning. I picked one and it ended up being the information booklet about the ring he’d chosen- naturally I was confused so I looked up to see him on one knee, and here we are. I texted my now bridesmaids “guess what” at 12:30am and Gemma rang me immediately thinking something was wrong and started screaming down the phone in excitement when I told her…
Unconventional:
Burgundy in June is probably a bit “unconventional” but that word probably sums me up. I’ve always loved burgundy and that’s why we picked it. Speaking of unconventional, I have a burgundy, hand painted leather jacket to wear for a couple of shots.
