Anne-Marie and Paul’s Story
Why did you choose your venue?
We chose our venue for a few reasons. First, my cousin (chief bridesmaid) sent us the link because she thought it sounded like what we wanted. We fell in love with its rustic charm. Additionally, Paul was particularly excited about the watering hole, which sealed the deal for him. For me, the fact that we could include our two rescue dogs, Dora & Neave, in the day was a major factor. We even booked a dog chaperone to help coordinate photos, etc. It was the first venue we looked at, and we both loved it so much that we booked it right away.
Do you have a special “theme” or style for your wedding? Why did you choose this theme or style? What is the colour scheme? Who is responsible for styling your venue?
Our chosen theme is rustic. We decided on this theme because we wanted a simple yet classy atmosphere. The colour scheme for the flowers will be ivory/cream with foliage, and there may be some additional colours added. The bridesmaids will be wearing a bronze colour, and Seed and Wild will be decorating the venue. We plan to incorporate rustic elements such as logs, candles, and gypsophila. Even our dogs will have flowers pinned to their new harnesses. We will also have a flower arch, rustic A&P letters, a bouncy castle, and garden games (weather permitting!). Our goal is to create a day that is fun and uplifting, reflecting our families’ love for having a good time.
What sort of dress/outfit did you choose and where from? Why did you choose it?
My dress is from Emma Louise Bridal. Lace long sleeves and a lace back. The dress isn’t too fussy, ivory, very fitted but elegant (Paul’s mum said this!) I will have a veil for during the day.
What has your partner chosen to wear and where from?
Very rustic-coloured suit with his two boys (15 & 17) who are his best men. My nephew Jack (9) will be our page boy but in something more casual. Suits are from Slaters.

What other “special touches” have you added to your day?
My cousin (chief bridesmaid) will be walking me down the aisle with Jack and the dogs. Jack is my brother’s son. Unfortunately, my brother passed away 8 years ago, so I spend a lot of time with Jack. I want him to be a big part of the day, along with Paul’s boys.
I will have a picture of my dad in the entrance. Additionally, I will use my late mother’s small, old school suitcase (my parents were deaf and went to boarding school) to collect cards.
I have also purchased a sweetie station, sparklers, and confetti. Furthermore, I have booked a Photo Booth for the entire day.
If transportation is hired, where is it from?
The bride, bridesmaids, and some female members of Paul’s family are staying at the Out Barn Farm House. Paul and the groomsmen have booked a local cottage. We have also arranged for the Out Barn Land Rover to transport Paul and me to the barn.
With love,
Paul Swift Photography
