Anthea and Steve’s Beautiful Autumnal Wedding

The Out Barn Clough Bottom

Anthea and Stephen’s Story

Wow. That’s one word to describe Anthea and Steve’s beautiful autumnal wedding at The Out Barn.

Everytime I come to this magnificent wedding venue I am reminded of what a beautiful Wedding Venue it is. Rustic and Contemporary set in a stunning location of the Ribble Valley.

Anthea and Steve chose The Out Barn simply put, they loved the light of the main room and the view over Pendle hill.

A family run venue and working farm headed by Henry, they are a forward-thinking business always innovating and looking for things to improve and make it more attractive for their couples. Lots of amazing new things are on the way. The venue is managed by Ruth, a passionate lady who is both committed and professional. Her team, Emma and Jess are phenomenal. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and they always go above and beyond to make sure every couples day runs as they’d dreamt.

Wedding Day

Anthea and Steve planned the most amazing wedding day. No special theme, but based on colours to match autumn; with the most amazing florals.

After spending the night before the wedding together they got ready in the same barn house with Steve even carrying the dress upto where Anthea got into it with help from her Mum. The dress was from Monsoon and fit Anthea like a glove. It was here that Steve left and waited outside to be greeted by his wife to be. A first look done before the ceremony followed by a portrait session.

Steve chose a really handsome suit from Moss Bros.

As mentioned, prior to the ceremony we went to create a set of photos of the couple at a few locations around the barns and river. There’s a lovley old pack horse bridge over the river that makes for a pretty photo.

The Wedding

On arrival we were greated by Jess, who was fabulous all day. Extremely attentive and couldn’t do enough to ensure that Anthea and Steve’s day went off without an issue. Jess and her team are a real credit to The Out Barn.

Anthea is originally from New Zealand and well travelled.  There were guests from her homeland, plus Germany, and the USA.

Everyone including the local guests were all amazing with some fantastic kiddies playing Jenga before the evening kicked off with a cake cutting and the first dance.

3 suppliers not mentioned yet.

Rebecca Anderton took care of hair and makeup and wow. She not only does a great job, but is good fun too.

The Flower Farm took care of the florals and I have to say, they were simply out of this world. Beautiful and smelt devine.

The cake was stunning and from a local to me boutique cake shop, The Sweetest Thing Cakery in Accrington. I’ve seen quite a few amazing cakes from here.

A phenomenal wedding day; thanks Anthea and Steve for having me and thanks to Jess and your amazing staff. The food was amazing too.
