Jenny and David’s Story

What an absolutely fabulous day at Stanley House Hotel & Spa. After proposing only last October Jenny and David tied the knot yesterday in a wonderful ceremony performed by Lancashire Registration Service, the Lancashire Rose Suite, Bow Ln, Preston. David proposed to Jenny on their 4th anniversary as a couple whilst on a cruise. After a lovely meal, David proposed at the rear (astern) of the ship.

After getting engaged, they quickly looked at dates and decided they wanted to move ahead quickly because they’d like to settle and start their own family. Choosing Stanley House was an easy choice. It’s a beautiful place in a pretty location and suits their tastes. It’s also a great location for families and friends.

A summer blossom theme was chosen to match the season along with an ivory/blossom violet purple/orchid purple colour palette. Very nice indeed.

Jenny chose a stunning Essense of Australia dress from Dreamcatcher Bridal. A classic gown which has more details than meets the eyes. Soft lace and details throughout the bodice and something I really noticed in different lights, a subtle sparkle. A pretty A-line skirt leads to a gorgeous lace train with patterns that match the front.

David chose a rather fetching Price Edward blue morning tailcoat suit with a matching ivory waistcoat. Accessories matched the colours violet purple and orchid purple.

For the bridal party, the Bridesmaids wore violet purple/orchid purple dresses from ASOS and the Groomsmen wore blue Jacket/trousers with a silver waistcoat and a violet purple/orchid purple tie from Slater Menswear.

The bouquets from Willows Florists were neat hand-tied posy of roses in dusky lilac, blush pink, and ivory with cream berries, gypsophila, and other complimentary flowers finished with eucalyptus foliage and looped pearls around the edge. The bridesmaids were smaller versions of Jenny’s.

Amore Event Stylists took great care in getting the ceremony room and then the wedding breakfast room looking amazing. Blossoms and blossom trees, draping lights with the matching colours of ivory/blossom violet purple/orchid purple.

A truly magnificent 5-tier white cake with the design of the Brides bouquet flowers from Champagne Cakes. I know I say this a lot, a real shame to cut it lol.

Paddy from DFC sang during the ceremony, and drinks reception before John also of DFC brought the night in with the cake cutting and first dance.
