The History of Stanley House Hotel
Stanley House was built in the 17th century and has had numerous owners since it was built. The hotel was allowed to fall into disrepair over the years, but with love and care, the current owners have turned it into a magnificent boutique hotel. The hotel sits on 54 acres, next to the gorgeous Ribble Valley. The Ribble Valley countryside is one of the most beautiful areas in Lancashire.
As a Lancashire wedding photographer, I know the best place for taking amazing wedding photos. When the Stanley House was built, very few decorative touches were added. During the last few decades, steps have been taken to create the luxury hotel you see today. The manor house and luxury spa are like no other in the area.

Stanley House has not long been a favourite venue of mine since my first visit was only back in 2020 (just before we all got told to stay at home). The staff are so welcoming and friendly. From arrival everyone is so welcoming and can’t do enough for you, they ensure that everything runs smoothly from start to finish. Attention to detail never falters and the kind of expert care you would expect for your special day is provided.

Fred’s Brasserie offers a full menu of foods that have been prepared to perfection. The grounds of the estate are ideal for your wedding photographs. Many locations on the property show off the grand elegance of the house as well as the beautifully manicured lawns and gardens. A picture of your flower girl skipping along one of the paths or the bride and groom sneaking a few private moments in the garden are examples of the special moments a Lancashire wedding photographer looks for.
