Wedding inspiration:

my vision to inspire YOUR wedding.

Spring Time Weddings – ‘New Beginnings’

In this ‘Inspire Your Wedding’ feature, Spring Time Weddings, I wanted to share with you a very lively but soft colour palette. Spring is my favourite time of year. It’s a sign of new life and longer days with (hopefully) warmer weather to follow. When I think of spring I always imagine Sunflowers, Daffodils, Blossom and Crocus. This led me to put together a colour palette of Blossom, Purple, Yellow and light mint together to be added to with a hint of silver/grey. The bright vibrant yellow softened with the blossoming pink.

Dress style: This is a beautifully soft and elegantly romantic look. For your dress go for a feminine silhouette. For bridesmaids, choose yellow or soft pink dresses and don’t be afraid to mix colours and add floral head accessories.

This vintage fit and flare wedding dress features a touch of glam that sets it apart from the rest. Its sweetheart, V-neckline is accented by sweet lace straps that extend beautifully into a high back. With its Lace and Tulle over Imperial Crepe bodice and skirt, this gown is gorgeous. Lace side cut outs and a lace cameo back add unexpected elements of glamour, while the wide flare train is utterly romantic with its double-scallop lace hem. The slight pink colour goes perfectly went perfectly with our spring colour palette.

Choose a blue or light grey suit with a tweed jacket accessorised with a tie.

For makeup go for soft romantic girly make up.

For hair choose a relaxed wavy or up-do and don’t be afraid to add floral accessories.

Contemporary Weddings

Sunflowers, protea, gyp, carnations, ruscus and white roses all wonderfully tied and wrapped in a burlap wrap. A stunning bouquet. Use smaller combinations of these around the tables for an elegant finish.

For your stationery use the blossom tree or whichever flower has influenced your style to decorate your designs. Don’t be afraid to use the different colours you’ve chosen to mix and match between it all. Keep it lively.

Décor: Go for it! Its spring, new beginnings. Keep in theme with your colours and you won’t go wrong.

Here, the ceremony room is grey / silver with white for a fresh new clean look. For the reception, try mixing your colours on the tables and chairs. Add birdcages as the centre pieces on the tables, candelabras with candles or flowers on. A large love sign or similar is always a welcome addition.

With all of this in place, I chose a variety of backgrounds at Wyrebank to vary the images. From the lovely interior to vibrant red brick walls and a stroll by the canal for contrast.
