Planning your wedding is no easy task. From choosing your venue, your dress, the suits, who will be bridesmaids, best man, the cake, will it be chicken or beef, all way right down to the little details of which font will go onto the place cards for the table plan!
I like to send out a few questions to my brides and grooms about a month before the big day to get to know them a little and to find out which lovely suppliers they’ve asked to help make their day so special.
Sophie and Ben’s marraige was carried out at St Marks, Layton & St Luke’s, Staining, by the wonderful Rev’d, Hannah Boyd. The church is an intimate little place full of charm and character.
Sophie and Ben celebrated their marraige at the beautiful Glass House and Staining Lodge. The Glass House, launched April 2018, is a unique new venue in the grounds of Staining Lodge Golf Course. An elegant and versatile venue with tall windows that wrap around the room. They let lots of light in – with white walls and grey floor, it’s pretty much a blank canvas for any wedding.
This was a day filled with so many happy moments, fun with lots and lots of laughter.

Where and when did you get engaged? Tell me what happened?
At home Ben surprised me with a meal involving our daughter wearing a top saying will you marry my daddy.
Why did you choose your wedding date?
To suite family and friends.
Why did you choose your venue?
Family memories, Mother married there and our daughters christening celebration was here.
Do you have a special “theme”/ style for your wedding? Why did you pick this theme/ style?
A bit rustic quite simple

A bit rustic and Lilic

Lula Ella brides.
What has your partner chosen to wear?
Moss brothers 3 piece light grey suit.
What are your bridesmaids/ groomsmen going to wear and where from?
Bridesmaids in lilic dresses, Groomsmen in light grey suits
How will you travel on the day? If the transport is hired, where is it from?
Bride to be will be at the hotel and Groom and Bestmen will arrive together in a family car.
What flowers have you chosen, if any? Who is providing them?
From the bridal shop, Lula Ella brides, they have a flower section. Just a small bouquet for my self and the girls.
Are you giving out favours? If so, what?
Yes, small draw string bags with a Lilic chocolate sweet and personalised heart with our names and date of the wedding on.
What cake have you chosen? Who is making it?

What food/ wines have you choose? Why?
Soup to start beef dinner and fruit merang for pudding each table has a red white and rose wine on and a hog roast to be served at night time.

Six15 events DJ and Dax on sax live 2 hour set later on.
