Romantic Christmas Broadoaks Country House Wedding

We booked Paul for our Broadoaks Wedding after the family persuaded us we should have a wedding photographer.
Everyone who knows me knows how I try to avoid photos so we gave Paul the brief of getting just one good pic. Well, he did that and so much more.
Bringing a dark lead for one of our dogs and herding us all like a top-class sheep farmer. Everyone thought he was an old friend, not someone we’d met just twice online prior to our big day !!!

Alex, myself and our family loved his style, guiding were necessary and just watching us interact capturing our gorgeous dogs too.

If you are considering Paul to capture your special day get him booked before someone else does, you won’t regret it !!

Lynne and Alex’s Story

They keep on coming and this amazing wedding was at one of the most romantic wedding venues, “dog-friendly hotel of the year”, Broadoaks Country House.

I know I’ve spoken loads about Broadoaks, but it never ceases to amaze me. Pretty as a picture setting, amazing staff, and simply the tastiest food.

From arrival, I met Lynne and her ladies getting ready in the retreat. A good-sized space and building within the grounds of the house. Ample space for brides or grooms getting ready. Alex was up in the Boudoir. An elegant love-nest which is privately entered. It also has a secluded patio ideal for enjoying a glass or two of champagne whilst watching the sunset over The Langdale Pikes.

After the fab ceremony in the orangery, the drinks reception was full of laughter and guests and the dogs entertained themselves in the music room.

The wedding breakfast and evening reception was back in the Orangery. I’ve not mentioned the special guests yet, Lottie and Pongo. Two beautiful paws. Lottie was happy to sleep and Pongo is happy to investigate every single smell.

Here’s a list and thank you to all the people involved.

Jo, Dan, and their team at Broadoaks Country House
Lynne’s simply stunning Justin Alexander dress is from The Bridal Collection of Lancaster. Lynne speaks so highly of Francesca at the boutique that her bridesmaids got their dresses from there too!
Beautiful florals were from Brackens of Bowness
A beautiful semi-naked wedding cake from Amber of Love At First Bite by Amber
Moss Bros. supplied the suit and OTAA the tie.
Hairstyling was taken care of by a Friend of Lynne – Tina Craven.

Enjoy,
Paul
