Who are you; Rebecca Brown?

This month; Rebecca Brown Makeup Artist, tells us a little about herself.

Makeup artist

I’ve worked with Rebecca on weddings and styled shoots for some time now and found her to be an extremely talented makeup artist, much more so that she gives herself credit for. Rebecca is huge fun to be around, she always brings a smile and lots laughter with her.

She is certainly one of Lancashire rising stars who I am sure will soon be winning lots of awards.

I recently sat down with Rebecca and asked her a few questions:

Tell us a little about yourself in a brief sentence.

My name is Rebecca & I’m freelance Makeup Artist. I’ve been doing Make Up for 4 years and I absolutely love it!

When did you start your business and what was your inspiration for doing so?

I became a Makeup Artist in 2012 after training with Pixiwoo (Celeb Make Up Artists & bloggers). I’ve always loved makeup and my inspiration comes from seeing how empowered makeup can make any woman feel from wearing it.

What is your happy song – you know the one you can’t help but smile to when you hear it?

My favourite song of all time is “Boy George, Karma Chameleon”, it’s a song that reminds me of my childhood and makes me smile and want to dance whenever I hear it…

Share something that not many people know about you…

I love makeup! BUT people who don’t know me personally won’t know that I DON’T wear it (not even mascara). I only wear it if I’m doing a Make Up tutorial OR if I’m going out…

Best piece of advice you have been given?

My biggest piece of advice would be “be yourself, you only get one shot at life, and this isn’t a rehearsal! Live, laugh, love then laugh some more”… OK, that may be 2 pieces but hey ho…

What is your favourite local business / shop / restaurant and why?

My favourite restaurant is Checcos in Great Harwood. I love Italian food. In fact, I love ALL food! It’s definitely the way to my heart.

If you were planning the ultimate picnic, what would be in your hamper?

A big wicker picnic basket with a large chequered blanket. And ham and pickled onion sandwiches, oh and tuna mayo too, cut into triangles. I would also have lots of cakes, champers and strawberries too.

What accomplishment are you most proud of?

My biggest accomplishment would be my 4 beautiful children, Bradley, Harrison, Darcie & Poppie. They are my world along with my hubby of course… I can’t forget him, can I!!

If you could have one superpower what would it be?

If I could choose a superpower it would be to heal the world and make it a safer and better place and I would love to be able to read minds, which would be awesome!!

Do you like your picture being taken?

I hate having my picture taken!! I am not photogenic AT ALL unless you’re great with Photoshop. I definitely have a face for radio!

(I disagree – Paul)

Where is the weekend getaway destination you love?

My favourite weekend destination would be the Lake District, just something about the place I love. My ultimate holiday destination would either be Mexico, Mauritius or the Maldives… hmmm must be something about destinations beginning with M. I’ve never been but will get there one day…
