Hannah and Chris’s Story

The most amazing wedding took place at Meols Hall this past September. Hannah and Chris planned this day to a tee! No over styling, a simple and classy way of not over doing it. Dusty blues, whites and golds being the main feature.

Chris proposed to Hannah at their new home on day of collecting the keys – how amazing. New home, fresh start, and then wedding planning! What’s next?  👶🏼 or 🐕 ????

When looking for a venue, they’d looked at quite a few in Lancashire and Liverpool but when visiting Meols Hall, it just felt like the right place. It gives off a certain vibe. Sue and Julia are amazing on the day leaving nothing to chance, even making my job easier at times.

The grounds are simply huge. I last visiting the Meols Hall back in 2017 and it was my first time back since then and I didn’t know about the little bridge area at the back of a field. It was Steve of Churchtown Cars that mentioned it and if Hannah and Chris wanted to go there after the ceremony. The old barn is used for the ceremony, and then celebration and it’s a perfect space. The courtyard is a special place, very authentic to the period and cobbled, but ladies need to be super skilled with high heels or wear block heels or wedges. It’s. The barn is a dark romantic place so perfect for feeling cosy and close with your nearest and dearest.

Both Hannah and Chris got ready at the Vincent hotel in the heart of Southport. A stylish boutique hotel with good sized rooms and friendly staff. I took advantage of Chris being in the same place and visited him for a few minutes whilst he finished off getting ready with help from a good friend. Hannah was getting ready with her two bridesmaids, her Mum, Chris’s mum, and a rather nice young lady full of bounce called Evie.

Chris and his Groomsmen wore suits from Slater Menswear with Ties and pocket squares from Swagger & Swoon. A great combination.

Sweetpea and Ivy were at Meols Hall setting up when I arrived. Beautiful florals of green with white and accessorised with dusky Blue.

Laura’s Cakery provided a beautifully detailed three tier cake with a lemon and vanilla tiers.

After the wedding breakfast, Rock My Reception were on hand with a Ukulele and a Cajón before kicking off the evening celebration with their acoustic guitars. A really fantastic set by two awesome guys.

During the day, my photography was mostly candid with a smaller amount of time for some groups and then the portraits of Hannah and Chris.

A phenomenal wedding day; thanks Hannah and Chris for having me and thanks to Sue, Julia and your amazing staff at Meols Hall.
