Lauren and Phil; Their Story.

Planning your wedding is no easy task. From choosing your venue, your dress, the suits, who will be bridesmaids, best man, the cake, will it be chicken or beef, all way right down to the little details of which font will go onto the place cards for the table plan!

I like to send out a few questions to my brides and grooms about a month before the big day to get to know them a little and to find out which lovely suppliers they’ve asked to help make their day so special.

Lauren and Phil tied the knot at the former Liverpool John Lennon Airport Terminal, Crowne Plaza, before heading to the historic Speke Hall and then going back to Crowne Plaza to celebrate with family and friends.

A truly fabulous day, filled with so many happy moments, fun with lots and lots of laughter.

Here are the details of planning and suppliers that made their day so special.

Where and when did you get engaged? 

8th April 2017 – Phil proposed to me in Harry Potter world he was taking me to Lyme park on the way back but he had the ring in his pocket and didn’t realise you got searched before going in so he took me back to the car park and done it there haha.

Why did you choose your wedding date?

We wanted a spring wedding and we thought middle of May would be nice weather fingers crossed !

Why did you choose your venue?

We really like the Art Deco and we Fell in love with it. We knew straight away we wanted to book it

What is your wedding colour scheme?

Light blue as Phil wanted royal blue as he’s an Everton fan so we came to an agreement with light blue

What sort of dress/outfit did you choose and where from? 

I picked an a line dress and I bought it from Wed 2 B. I felt like a princess when I tried it on 👸.

What has your partner chosen to wear and where from?

He has chosen a Prince Edward style suit and it is from slaters.

What are your bridesmaids/ groomsmen going to wear and where from?

Bridesmaids dresses are from wed 2 b groomsmen are from slaters.

Who have you chosen for beauty (Makeup and Hair)

Rachel Ross of Oh So Glam for make up

Jordan Carter for hair

How will you travel on the day? If the transport is hired, where is it from?

Love & Carriage based in Liverpool.

What flowers have you chosen, if any? Who is providing them?

I found a lady at a market, she was amazing. Jeanettes Floral.

What flowers and decorations have you chosen for the wedding reception? Who is providing them or helping you?

We have done all our centre pieces ourselves we have hired a dance floor / selfie mirror from ozzy james

Are you giving out favours? If so, what?

We have personalised m&ms in a glass jar and activity boxes for the children what we made ourselves.

What cake have you chosen? Who is making it?

A four tier cake by Vanilla Nova of Southport.

What food/ wines have you choose? Why?

We have chosen soup, sorbet, chicken potatoes with vegetables and profiteroles for dessert we picked this as we thought majority of people would like it. We have beer, procecco or wine for guests. Tea and coffee will also be served

What other “special touches” have you added to your day?

We have hired a flight simulator before the evening reception, a selfie mirror and a saxophonist called May Ellie Crick.
