Capturing Memories:
A Kilhey Court Wedding Photographer’s Experience with Eleanor and Kieran
Eleanor and Kieran’s Wedding Celebration at Kilhey Court
Eleanor and Kieran’s Wigan wedding was a beautiful and laidback celebration that took place on a hot day in June. As their wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing all the special moments of their day.
The day started with preparation at the family home in Wigan before moving to Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church, where the couple exchanged their vows. The wedding reception was held at Kilhey Court Hotel, a stunning venue that was well run and tidy.
The Venue’s

Kilhey Court Hotel is a beautiful Victorian-style mansion that is set amidst 10 acres of picturesque gardens and woodland. The Wedding
Kieran’s family is predominantly Irish, which is why the colour sage green was chosen for the wedding. Sage green is a beautiful and versatile colour that evokes feelings of tranquillity, harmony, and balance, making it a perfect choice for a wedding celebration.
Eleanor’s Italian dress was supplied by The Dressing Room in Wigan, and it was a stunning creation that showcased her beauty and elegance.
The men all wore suits with dicky bows from SG Menswear Suit Hire, and they looked dashing and handsome.
The bridesmaids’ dresses, also sage green, were a perfect complement to the overall theme and style of the wedding. The bridesmaids’ gowns were also supplied by The Dressing Room in Wigan.
A wedding celebration with style
The wedding had a traditional and elegant style, with stunning florals supplied by Florals by Danielle. The florals were a perfect blend of classic and contemporary, and they added a touch of romance and sophistication to the overall décor.
The tables were decorated by Pure Elegance, and they were a perfect reflection of the couple’s refined taste and style.
Cathy Whyte created a beautiful semi-naked cake with floral decorations that was not only visually stunning but also delicious. The cake was a perfect representation of the couple’s love and commitment to each other.
Beauty by best friends
Dawn Leach and Leanne Hitchen, Eleanor’s best friends, took care of her hair and makeup, and they did a fantastic job. Eleanor looked stunningly beautiful, and her hair and makeup were flawless.
Travelling in style
The couple travelled in style on their special day, with Grace Wedding Cars providing five cars to transport the wedding party. The cars were luxurious, elegant, and added a touch of glamour and sophistication to the overall event.
The evening, and entertainment
In the evening, Irish Band Lucky 15 played and sang plenty of Irish music, and Martin Goulding sang for the guests during the day. The music was lively, upbeat, and added a touch of fun and excitement to the overall celebration. The guests danced, laughed, and had a great time, making the day unforgettable for everyone.
