James, Chloe and a little fella called Diesel – Diesel is the Husky.
At the last valentine’s day I ran a competition to win a couples photoshoot. The response was so large that I added a second prize. Chloe and James were one of the winners; much to James’s surprise!
With Chloe knowing I also love to photograph dogs asked if Diesel, their Husky could also come along. This is great for me, photographing a couple in love and spending a little time with a new friend; Diesel.
We arranged to meet in a wood close to their home, which was grounds to a lovely old mansion, Sutton Hall, in Sutton in Craven. I say it was as it was demolished in the 1940’s. Shame as it was a magnificent Victorian Gothic building built in 1894 by Thomas Berry. All that remains now is a beautiful arched entrance lodge. I have added a link at the bottom of this blog for those who wish to read more on the hall.
We spent about an hour and a half walking through the woods of which the first 40 minutes were more spent with Diesel. Diesel is very energetic and quite vocal. He prefers to be off the lead exploring the woods and venturing into the river. He doesn’t like being still, but I still managed to capture some beautiful portraits.
After Diesel was taken home (thanks to James’s Mum), we spent a really enjoyable 40 or 45 minutes walking around the woods capturing portraits of James and Chloe wherever the light fell through the trees the best.
A lovely photoshoot, in a beautiful place with a gorgeous couple and a fab Husky.
