Rebecca and Mikes Intimate Wedding Day

Rebecca and Mike’s Story

Here’s Rebecca and Mike’s date night premiere of their wedding at the Hidden River Cabins

A small intimate wedding at this truly stunning place just 20 minutes from Carlisle, between the Lake District and Scotland.

In nearly 15 years of weddings, it was my first time here and I now know why it’s called the Hidden River. The river Lyne is very hidden unless you’re in a cabin.

For getting ready before your wedding, there’s a fantastic cottage with an amazing space for hair and makeup. This is where I started to photograph Rebecca and her ladies getting ready. Soon after, lots of laughs started to go around when it was discovered one of the guys had brought the wrong shoes, not only that, but it was also 2 rights of odd shoes.

An amazing ceremony outside with the river flowing below was performed by registrars from Carlisle registry office. Rebecca and Mike were joined by son Oliver for the whole ceremony.

After the ceremony, there was a marvellous party atmosphere which reminded me of a family and friends afternoon barbeque. And it’s exactly what it was. No formal event like a wedding breakfast, a simple and intimate party in a log cabin, by the river with good weather. What more could anyone want?

As always, an amazing wedding day in such a fantastic place.
