A rather wet but fun Mesnes Park Wedding

Lisa and Pete

Lisa and Pete’s Story

Lisa and Pete planned a small and intimate wedding with close family and friends at a beautiful local location, Mesnes Park (pronounced Maines Park) before celebrating at a Classic Kitchen & Bar, The Goose & Gander

Meeting Lisa and Pete prior to the ceremony it was obvious the weather was not going to be kind today. The ceremony was held at the lodge within Mesnes Park, a bit of a jewel in Wigan. A pretty Victorian building set on idyllic grounds with a lake, bandstand, and a gorgeous pavillion. The park is well looked after with amazing flower beds. So colourful!

Straight after the ceremony, the newlywed couple decided that the rain was coming down far too hard at the moment to go for a walk so instead headed straight to the Goose & Gander Country pub. Just before we left I took a few minutes to create a fab set of portraits in a doorway to the lodge. Just lots of laughter for a few moments.

Local events company Clouds and Confetti had decorated the pub with lots of balloons including an arch. This was finished off with the bouquets beautifully crafted and supplied by Harrison’s Flowers.

Skillful singer and guitar play Alex Hulme entertained the guests with some rather nice music.

Here’s a list of all the fab suppliers involved.
