A classy summer wedding at Falcon Manor

Jackie and Kevin; Their Story.

Peruga at Woodheys

Planning your wedding is no easy task. From choosing your venue, your dress, the suits, who will be bridesmaids, best man, the cake, will it be chicken or beef, all way right down to the little details of which font will go onto the place cards for the table plan!

I like to send out a few questions to my brides and grooms about a month before the big day to get to know them a little and to find out which lovely suppliers they’ve asked to help make their day so special.

Jackie and Kevin tied the knot at the historic and picturesque Falcon Manor.

Falcon Manor as we see and know it today was built in 1841, though originally named Ingfield Hall. Sometime after 1921, its name was changed to Falcon Manor.

As is usual with weddings at James Places venues, the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Nothing ever too much trouble.

A truly fabulous day, filled with so many happy moments, fun with lots and lots of laughter.

Here are the details of planning and suppliers that made their day so special.

Where and when did you get engaged?

23rd March 2019 at Alexanders in Skipton, North Yorkshire. We were out with a group of good friends that afternoon and Kevin secretly ordered champagne and produced the ring and announced it as we were sitting outside on the terrace enjoying a drink. All the other patrons clapped and cheered, it was a lovely moment.

Why did you choose your wedding date?

To be totally honest, its pure convenience, it fits in well with the holidays.

Why did you choose your venue?

I’d been there with a group of friends for afternoon tea and thought how beautiful it was.

Do you have a special “theme”/ style for your wedding? Why did you pick this theme/ style?

No, we’ve gone for the casual approach.

What is your wedding colour scheme? Why did you choose it?

Its cream and burgundy. We like the colours.

What sort of dress/outfit did you choose and where from?

I opted for a hopefully elegant look. Purchased fro Sugared Almonds in Earby, Lancashire.

How will you travel on the day? If the transport is hired, where is it from?

What flowers have you chosen, if any? Who is providing them?

What flowers and decorations have you chosen for the wedding reception? Who is providing them or helping you?

As above
