Laura and Tom’s Story
Laura and Tom arranged their wedding in a beautiful venue in a rather lovely village. A rustic theme with oranges, creams, and peach to go with late spring colours.
After a quiet morning getting ready at home, it was amazing service all day at The Downe Arms Hotel. With Laura’s Dad being a little too unwell to attend, he was able to watch via a tablet streaming direct to him at home. The registrars from North Yorkshire County Council were fantastic and very helpful.
The weather was perfect for sitting outside and enjoying the day and into the evening. So much laughter and emotion all day. We took a trip down the road to North Yorkshire Water Park for a few portraits of the newly married couple.
Laura’s dress is from The Wedding Room in Scarborough. It was nothing near to what Laura that she wanted but when she tried it on, she loved it and didn’t want to take it off. She was actually very lucky to get the dress in time as due to a family illness, the wedding was brought forward a number of months and the dress wasn’t supposed to be here until July! Luckily a bride in Holland had picked the same dress / colour / size, which was ready to go now, and she allowed Laura to have her dress and she would wait until July! How kind is that!
Tom’s handsome grey and orange check suit are from Marc Darcy.
Two amazing people travelled all the way from Bolton to entertain guests with some fab guitar playing and singing, Becky & Josh Duo.
Beauty was taken care of by two amazing ladies. Jess Pacey rearranged things to be able to provide makeup and Kirsty at Wedding Hair By Kirsty looking after Laura’s hair.
Jess at All Iced Up make a fantastic looking semi-naked cake…. it also tasted amazing.
Silk flowers from Crystal Foam Flowers in Barnsley matching the theme with Roses and Peonies.
