Location and Venue

One of the most unique aspects of Emma and Bobby’s wedding was the location. The ceremony took place on the family home, in the small village of Crosby-on-Eden, near Carlisle, UK. It was a beautiful and intimate setting, with an awning erected on the front driveway to provide shade and a sheltered space for the ceremony. The aisle led directly from the front door, adding to the cozy, homey feel of the ceremony.

After the wedding, guests were treated to a large marquee that housed the celebration and wedding breakfast. The marquee was able to accommodate well over 100 people, ensuring that everyone could be a part of the joyous occasion. Despite a mixed bag of weather with bright sun 🌥, dark and moody skies ⛈, wind, and 🌩 rain☔, the day was unforgettable thanks to the warmth of the couple and their families.

Wedding Color Scheme

Emma and Bobby chose a beautiful colour scheme of white and pink for their wedding day. The colours added a touch of romance and elegance to the day, with roses from The Flower Hut used throughout the ceremony and reception. The decorations added a touch of class and beauty to an already stunning day.

Bride and Groom’s Attire

Emma looked stunning in her princess/ballgown style dress, which she purchased online during a sale. The gown was a perfect fit for the bride and added a touch of magic to the day. Bobby wore a navy suit from Next, which was a perfect complement to Emma’s white gown. The groomsmen wore navy suits from the same shop, while the bridesmaids wore white dresses that were purchased online.

Special Touches

Emma and Bobby added some special touches to their wedding day to make it more fun and playful. They gave out Tic Tacs as a favor, with names on them which was a lovely touch. The cake was a 4-tier masterpiece created by Debra Warburton, which was as delicious as it was beautiful. The entertainment for the day included a violinist, Gill Wadeson, who provided beautiful music for the ceremony and then through the drinks reception. For the evening reception, the couple hired 3 River City, a band that provided lively and fun music for guests to dance the night away. And with confetti canons and bubbles, guests were sure to have a great time.
