I hope you enjoyed the previous blog introducing the recent styled shoot at Marine Hall, I am following this up with 3 further blog posts showcasing each of the looks that we created on the day – here we go with the Contemporary styled wedding shoot……
For the first shoot I wanted a modern, contemporary look with the inspiration coming from the catwalk and the images I was seeing in this season’s bridal magazines.
By using Pinterest and the wedding blogs and then a visit to the bridal store, Dreamcatchers of Kirkham with our model, Carla we chose the perfect dress. I had taken my scrapbook of ideas as a creative prop and ‘Tamora’ by Anny Lin fit the bill. The asymmetric bodice of the dress was contemporary and striking from both the front and the back, the full skirt was a dream to work with – light and romantic and the beautiful crystal design on the waistline was the perfect eye catching detail. The dress fit Carla perfectly and the style was set!
Clare of Phaze 1 Salon and Sonara Parker created the perfect hair and make up to compliment the look. Quite a contemporary roll and edgy quiff effect, beautifully softened by a natural make up and lovely jewelled hair piece. A simply stunning floral arrangement in purples and pinks was provided by Kate of Fabulous flowers by Kate.
With all of this in place I chose a variety of backgrounds at Marine Hall to vary the images from a vibrant red brick wall for contrast to the white columnades with the palm trees for architectural interest.
Here is a selection of the images, please remember to check back next week for a glimpse of our Vintage 40’s inspired look!
