Lauren and Ste’s Story
Here’s Lauren and Stephen’s wedding premiere of their dreamy Mitton Hall Wedding.
As some of you know here, I have been photographing weddings at Mitton Hall a long time. It’s one of my favs.
Wedding bells are ringing, confetti is being thrown, and love is in the air. Lauren and Stephen’s magical spring wedding at Mitton Hall was a day to remember. The happy couple tied the knot on a lovely spring day, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The picturesque Mitton Hall, located in the heart of Lancashire, was the perfect venue for their special day.
The Perfect Wedding Day Team
The day was made even more special thanks to the incredible team of wedding coordinators. Becky and Ellie, along with Bella and Ethan, were simply fabulous. They left no stone unturned and ensured that every detail was taken care of, making it the perfect day for Lauren and Stephen.
A Proposal to Remember
Lauren and Stephen’s love story started on Christmas day of 2021 when Stephen proposed in a unique way. He put the ring in a bauble and wrote in Lauren’s Christmas card that there was a special present hidden within the tree. When Lauren found the bauble and opened it, she saw the ring and he asked her to marry him. It was a beautiful moment that Lauren will cherish forever
.
Love at First Sight: The Venue
Stephen and Lauren fell in love with Mitton Hall the moment they laid eyes on it. They visited the venue for lunch in May/June 2020 when the lockdown was lifted, and it was love at first sight. They sat on the terrace with lunch and wine and enjoyed the stunning surroundings. Stephen even asked for a wedding brochure on his way back from the restroom, knowing that Mitton Hall had to be a contender for their special day. And it was!

A Timeless Colour Scheme
Lauren and Stephen chose a white, fresh, green, and floral colour scheme for their big day. They wanted to reflect the beauty of the season and create a timeless look that would never go out of style.
The Perfect Dress
Lauren looked breathtaking in her A-line wedding dress from Amelia’s in Clitheroe. The dress had a lace and glitter overlay, giving it a fairy/bohemian vibe that was perfect for the venue and theme.
A Dapper Groom
Stephen looked handsome in his navy blue and stone waistcoat suit from Marc Darcy in Manchester. The groomsmen were also dressed in similar suits, while the bridesmaids looked stunning in white chiffon maxi dresses with a cowl neck.

Gorgeous Flowers Everywhere
Vanilla Silk provided the beautiful bouquets, while Creative Venue Hire styled the venue with stunning floral arrangements. The gorgeous flowers added to the springtime feel of the day and created a magical atmosphere.
Sweet Treats for All
The guests were treated to delicious silver heart-shaped chocolates wrapped in white organza bags as favours. Each card message read, “thank you for being a key part of our lives,” with a silver key attached that also doubles as a bottle opener. And who could forget the stunning 3-tiered white cake from Cake Craft in Ramsbottom, adorned with green foliage?

Picture-Perfect Hair and Makeup
Nala & Knot provided hair and makeup services that left Lauren looking stunning. The team was fantastic, not only with hair and makeup but also with fastening Lauren’s dress. The buttons were done up so quickly that even Lauren was amazed.
Non-Stop Fun and Dancing
Exceed Events provided the entertainment for the evening, keeping the dancefloor busy and the guests entertained. The night was filled with love, laughter, and lots of dancing.
