Planning your wedding is no easy task. From choosing your venue, your dress, the suits, who will be bridesmaids, best man, the cake, will it be chicken or beef, all way right down to the little details of which font will go onto the place cards for the table plan!

I like to send out a few questions to my brides and grooms about a month before the big day to get to know them a little and to find out which lovely suppliers they’ve asked to help make their day so special.

Gabby and RJ tied the knot at the eclectic Didsbury House, before celebrating at the pretty victorian townhouse Eleven Didsbury Park. They then moved back to Didsbury House to party into the night – A classy, elegant wedding at Didsbury House and Eleven Didsbury Park.

Both venues are owned by the Eclectic Hotel Collection and run by fabulous staff who make sure everything runs smoothly for the bride and groom. You couldn’t wish for better hosts.

This was a day filled with so many happy moments, fun with lots and lots of laughter.

Here’s Gabby and RJ’s wedding story.

Where and when did you get engaged? Tell me what happened?

Rethymno Crete. 28.Aug.18. 2.28 p.m at The Lemon Tree. The engagement was a complete surprise to me, R.J had planned it back in May when we were in Rethymono Crete earlier in the year. I was led to believe we were just shopping for a ring as a present for me so in reality picked my own engagement ring. So unknown to me he had planned where to go for lunch so he could propose. The Lemon Tree is outside and inside as we were in Crete planned to side outside but a unexpected rain storm arrived and everyone was rushed inside and in the midst of this, no one see or noticed he purposed. it was like we were in our own bubble of time.
