Amelia and John’s Story
Amelia and John’s engagement story is simply delightful! They were on their way to a lavish Italian lunch when John took a detour to Penshaw Monument in Sunderland. Amelia was not amused as she was starving and ready to indulge in her cheat meal. Being the brat she is, she refused to get out of the car and walk up to the monument. But then, John surprised her by pulling out a ring and proposing on the spot! And of course, Amelia said yes! Their adorable daughter Grace captured the whole thing on camera. They celebrated with a scrumptious meal that may not have gone according to plan, but was perfect nonetheless!
When asked why they chose their wedding date, Amelia and John revealed that they had their hearts set on a summer wedding – after all, who doesn’t love the warm sun on their faces and the sound of laughter filling the air? Plus, a few of their friends and family members happen to be teachers, so it made perfect sense to tie the knot during the summer holidays.

Choosing Broadoaks
When I asked Amelia and John why they chose Broadoaks Country House, their answer was as warm and inviting as the venue itself. They said, “When we first started looking at venues in the Lake District, Broadoaks came up, and as soon as we saw it, we fell in love with everything about it!”
Amelia and John couldn’t have been happier with the way their wedding day turned out, and they credit a lot of that to Little Jo, the coordinator who ran their wedding at Broadoaks. From the moment they met Jo they knew they were in good hands. Jo was attentive, organised, and made sure that everything ran smoothly throughout the day. She was always available to answer their questions and concerns, and she went above and beyond to make sure that they had the wedding of their dreams.
Jo’s attention to detail was unparalleled, and she was assured that every aspect of the wedding was perfect. From the lovely outdoor ceremony to the reception, she made sure that everything was set up exactly as they wanted it. It all ran smoothly. She even helped coordinate the arrival of their vendors, making sure that everyone was in the right place.
Throughout the day, Jo was a calming presence, checking that Amelia and John were enjoying themselves and that they were able to relax and enjoy their special day. She was always there to help out when needed, but also knew when to step back and let the couple enjoy their time with their friends and family.

Theme, style
When asked about their choice of special theme and colours, Amelia and John revealed that they opted for an informal and laidback celebration, where everyone can enjoy good food and drinks. As for the colour scheme, they chose neutral tones and lots of greenery, which perfectly complemented the stunning natural surroundings of Broadoaks Country House.
Bridalwear
Amelia’s wedding dress was absolutely breathtaking. The dress was found at Natalie Ann Brides, a bridal boutique located in Liverpool. The dress was a beautiful fitted fishtail design that accentuated her curves perfectly. The intricate lace detailing on the bodice and the hem of the dress are truly exquisite, adding a touch of elegance and sophistication to the overall look. The dress is made of high-quality materials, which makes it durable and comfortable to wear throughout the wedding ceremony and reception. Amelia was thrilled to find the dress of her dreams, and she couldn’t be happier with her choice. The dress is a perfect representation of her personal style and it’s sure to make her feel confident and beautiful on her special day.
Florals and cakes, and more.
When I asked Amelia about the flowers and table decorations, she simply replied, “I’ve just requested white flowers with lots of greenery and eucalyptus. Willow and Fig, my venue dresser, has arranged these.” And indeed, Willow and Fig is providing all the decor for the wedding, including a stunning eucalyptus archway and lots of foliage and floating candles.
When I asked about their cake, Amelia excitedly shared that they will be having a semi-naked three-tier cake made by Love at First Bite by Amber. It sounds absolutely delicious and will undoubtedly be a beautiful addition to their reception.
As for hair and makeup, Amelia shared that she has booked the lovely Cassie from Bridalised to do both her hair and makeup. It’s clear that Amelia values professionalism and expertise, and she seems confident in Cassie’s ability to make her look stunning on her big day.
Finally, when I asked about evening entertainment, John and Amelia shared that they have booked Craig Hogarth to DJ. It’s clear that they want to make sure that their guests have a great time and dance the night away.
Final Words
Amelia and John’s wedding was truly a remarkable event that will be remembered for years to come. From the elegant decorations to the scrumptious food, every detail was carefully planned and executed to perfection. It was clear that they (Amelia) had put in countless hours of consideration and hard work to ensure that their big day was a memorable one.
The ceremony was filled with so much love and joy that it was hard not to get emotional. Amelia looked stunning in her white gown, and John was handsome in his suit. As they exchanged vows, you could feel the love between them radiating throughout the venue.
After the ceremony, the reception was just as memorable. The guests were treated to a wide array of delicious barbeque food and drinks, and the dance floor was never empty. It was a true celebration of love, and everyone had a wonderful time.
In short, Amelia and John’s wedding was an amazing event that was filled with love, joy, and wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.
